Perinatal counseling encompasses supporting individuals with concerns related to fertility challenges, pregnancy, pregnancy related loss, postpartum, and parenting. Counseling during this time can help to manage stress, reduce feelings of anxiety, improve motivation, reduce irritability, improve mood, reduce harmful self-talk, and support healthy attachments.
Counseling for children often involves family members or guardians to support the growth of the child.
Behavior = Communication.
If your child is displaying signs of anxiety, depression, anger, overwhelmed, withdrawn, or perfectionism, counseling can help build emotional language, communication, and healthy coping skills.
